Managing Clients
Add and configure client accounts
Overview
Client management allows you to organize your customers and link projects to specific clients for accurate billing and reporting.
Viewing Clients
To view your clients:
- Navigate to Clients in the sidebar (Admin only)
- View the list of all clients
- Use search and filters to find specific clients
- Click on a client to view details
Creating a Client
To add a new client:
- Click Add Client
- Enter client details:
- Company Name (required)
- Contact Person
- Phone
- Address
- Set default billing rate (optional)
- Click Create Client
Contact Info
Adding contact information helps your team know who to communicate with about project questions or billing.
Client Details
Each client profile shows:
- Overview - Basic info and total billed hours
- Projects - All projects for this client
- Billing - Rate settings and billing history
- Notes - Internal notes about the client
Editing Clients
To update client information:
- Click on the client to open their profile
- Click Edit Client
- Make your changes
- Click Save Changes
Client Projects
View all projects associated with a client from their profile. You can:
- See active, completed, and archived projects
- View total hours tracked per project
- Check budget status for each project
- Create new projects directly for the client
Archiving Clients
When you no longer work with a client:
- Open the client profile
- Click Archive Client
- Confirm the action
Archived clients:
- Are hidden from the main client list
- Cannot have new projects created
- Preserve all historical data
- Can be restored if needed
Warning
Archive clients instead of deleting them to preserve historical data for reporting and auditing purposes.
Client Reports
Generate reports filtered by client:
- Navigate to Reports
- Select Client filter
- Choose the client
- View time and billing data
