The Clients & Billing features in SimplyManage help you manage client relationships, set billing rates, and track billable time. This is essential for agencies and consultancies that bill clients for their work.

Client management is available to Admin users only. Managers can view client information on projects they manage.

Clients

Clients represent the companies or individuals you do work for. Each client can have:

  • Multiple projects
  • Custom billing rates
  • Contact information

Billing Rates

Billing rates determine how tracked time is converted to billable amounts. Rates can be set at multiple levels:

  • Organization default rate
  • Client-specific rates
  • Project-specific rates

Time entries are categorized as billable or non-billable:
